The collective of independent artists CAI is made up of artists of any geographical origin who work in the plastic, performing and musical arts in any of their formats and who associate as a pact of good will with the intention of:
- Support artistic creation, dissemination and research
- Promote collaborative work between artists from different disciplines in various spaces
- Promote and develop the work of emerging artists belonging to the collective, small and medium format, jointly inside and outside the usual channels of artistic promotion
- Boost the artistic offer of your city of residence
- Develop public education work, through workshops and talks.
The CAI Independent Artists Collective has been launched by Mariate García, Rebeca Martín and Ana Fernández.
The CAI has held three festivals, in which local, national and international artists have participated, with a considerable reception from the public in spaces such as Hervidero (Liquid Space Gallery), the Barjola Museum and LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial. The balance of the samples could not be more positive
CAI works with artists who are in the process of creating a piece or whose creative work is outside the conventional channels of promoting the performing arts. It also aims to bring authors and the public closer, for artists to ask themselves those questions that sometimes remain unexpressed in the back room of the mind and for the public to know first-hand what lies behind a creative mind. CAI seeks to create bridges of knowledge and understanding.
