Elisa Cuesta (Asturias, 1992) is an artist, designer and cultural worker. She has a degree in Industrial Design and Fine Arts from Nebrija University, a master’s degree in Artistic Research (KABK, The Hague) and a postgraduate degree in Advanced Infography at ETSAM-UPM.
His work explores the relationship between ecology and technology, exploring the affective dimensions of technical artifacts and information technologies. In her installations she combines materials and processes of the artisanal and the contemporary, often using data visualization as a means of artistic expression.
She collaborates with public and independent organizations that support contemporary artistic and research practices and is currently program coordinator at TBA21 and artistic researcher at Atelier itd.
Her work has been shown in national and international spaces such as LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial (Gijón), Science Gallery Dublin, the Museum of Science and Technology in Belgrade, the Cervantes Gallery in Belgrade, Nest (The Hague), the Sala de Arte Joven de la Comunidad de Madrid, or the Valey Centro Cultural de Castrillón. His works are part of the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias and the Los Bragales Collection. She received the Asturias Joven de Artes Plásticas 2019 award and the XI LABjoven_Los Bragales production award.
