On 2 October, the Gijón/Xixón Municipal Foundation for Culture, Education and the People’s University is hosting a new edition of the Noche Blanca. LABoral Centre for Art and Industrial Creation is taking part in the programme with the opening of two exhibitions, a performance and a guided tour of a solo installation.

The full programme at LABoral:

• 7.00 pm — Opening of the exhibition ‘Interdependencias’, part of the Official Selection at PHotoESPAÑA, followed by a discussion with the artists. The exhibition brings together works by ten artists participating in the LAB Alumni Studio, who explore the relationships between identity, memory, the body and territory.

• 7.20 pm — Guided tour of the solo installation ‘Iconoclast’ by artist Daniel Canogar, which delves into one of the central issues of contemporary digital culture: the relationship between image, technology and power.

• 7.30 pm / 7.50 pm — Opening of the work ‘Cambiantes’ by Brazilian artist Analivia Cordeiro. A pioneering work of video art and video dance that launches LABoral’s ‘Obra Invitada’ programme and will be performed by dancers from the ESAD in the performance ‘From body to code / Revisited’.

Admission is free. Those who wish may continue their tour of the Noche Blanca in Gijón/Xixón or stay at LABoral to visit the exhibitions.
