On 2 October, the Gijón/Xixón Municipal Foundation for Culture, Education and the People’s University is hosting a new edition of the Noche Blanca. LABoral Centre for Art and Industrial Creation is taking part in the programme with the opening of two exhibitions, a performance and a guided tour of a solo installation.

The full programme at LABoral:

• 7.00 pm — Opening of the exhibition ‘Interdependencias’, part of the Official Selection at PHotoESPAÑA, followed by a discussion with the artists. The exhibition brings together works by ten artists participating in the LAB Alumni Studio, who explore the relationships between identity, memory, the body and territory.

• 7.20 pm — Guided tour of the solo installation ‘Iconoclast’ by artist Daniel Canogar, which delves into one of the central issues of contemporary digital culture: the relationship between image, technology and power.

• 7.30 pm / 7.50 pm — Opening of the work ‘Cambiantes’ by Brazilian artist Analivia Cordeiro. A pioneering work of video art and video dance that launches LABoral’s ‘Obra Invitada’ programme and will be performed by dancers from the Meraki Cía Company in the performance ‘From body to code / Revisited’.

Admission is free. Those who wish may continue their tour of the Noche Blanca in Gijón/Xixón or stay at LABoral to visit the exhibitions.
