Post-human Writing Course

Led by Alicia Valdés, in collaboration with La·grima School of Thought and Writing

3 June — 17 June 2026

As part of the exhibition ‘The Automatic Society’, the course on Posthuman Writing, led by Alicia Valdés in collaboration with La·grima School of Thought and Writing, will take place on 3, 10 and 17 June at LABoral Centro de Arte.

Under the question “Can a human generate a voice that goes beyond the human?”, the course explores this issue through the analysis of literature, theories and strategies, proposing forms of speculative writing that enable the creation of narrative voices that transcend human experience.

Alicia Valdés is a writer and psychoanalyst, with a PhD in the humanities. Her transdisciplinary practice explores subjectivity, the body and desire from the intersection of psychoanalysis, philosophy and politics. She is the author of Política del malestar. Por qué no deseamos alternativas al presente and Towards a Feminist Lacanian Left (Routledge, 2022), and has collaborated with institutions such as La Casa Encendida, Conde Duque and the National Classical Theatre Company.
