The workshop proposes practices of active listening, those which are capable of captivating our gaze and which we usually leave aside. We will also recover the notion of poetic writing as a playful space, not tied to any previous model, following the trail left by some of the poets of New York, whom we will read as an inspiration both in their procedures and in their casual way of carrying them out.

The workshop is designed around the film “Patterson” (Jim Jarmusch, 2016) which will be screened at 7:30 at the Escuela de Comercio de Gijón. Participants will be able to attend the screening as part of the workshop.
