Kintsugi, which means “gold union” in Japanese, is an ancient art that repairs broken ceramic objects by highlighting their cracks with gold dust. This technique not only restores functionality to the piece, but also embellishes it, giving it greater value by incorporating the history of its breakage.
Instead of hiding imperfections, kintsugi enhances them, turning them into witnesses of resilience and transformation. More than a simple repair, it is a metaphor for life, where every fracture is part of our evolution.
Each participant will be able to bring a broken piece with personal meaning to restore it. A space for learning, introspection and creativity that invites us to embrace imperfections as part of our own history, reflecting on beauty in everyday life.
This workshop is part of the cultural projects carried out on the occasion of the celebration of the European Craft Days 2025.
