Immersion workshop on feminist digital self-defense

understanding and detecting violence on the internet and social networks

Until 14 March 2020

In it we will work to understand and detect violence on the internet and social networks as well as to develop individual and collective strategies for self-defense and digital care. Areas related to privacy and digital protection will be worked on, to develop more thoughtful practices, pleasant and safe tactics with technologies. The objective is to train CIS women, lesbians and politically active trans people, activists and human rights defenders and feminists, concerned about the issue of sexist violence, who want to improve their digital protection and security practices from a feminist perspective.

Taught by: Dulzet and Ona from Donestech

Donestech is a group that has investigated and intervened in the field of gender and new technologies since 2006 in Barcelona. We cooperate in different processes of research, development, training and inclusion of women and LGTBIQ in different aspects of ICT.

The main current areas are sexist violence based on technology, feminist digital self-defense, empowerment and technological sovereignty. We collaborate with many other cyberfeminists on the planet by weaving networks and sharing knowledge.
