Generative Artificial Intelligence: Showcases

Future and Technology Conference, in collaboration with the City Council of Gijón.

7 November 2024

Place: Plató LABoral

Time: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

As part of the ‘Jornadas Futuro y Tecnología 2024’, LABoral hosts the conference (Generative Artificial Intelligence; Showcases), which will take place on the 7th of November.

Just as the previous conferences will deal with issues such as the problems and myths of Artificial Intelligence and its application in different fields such as literature, this last conference will focus on illustrating, through practical cases, the use of Generative AI for artistic visual creation, speculative architecture and citizen data science. All this will be presented by the artists Ada Crow, Román Torre and Juan Cañada and the promoter of the CreAtIvA magazine, Víctor Velasco.

In addition, the fifth issue of CreatIvA Magazine, co-published by LABoral Centro de Arte, will be presented to the audience. This is the first magazine dedicated to digital creation with Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) in Spain. This new volume, which presents the work of 25 international artists who work with this tool, revolves around the theme ‘Prompt Anatomy”’, so special importance is given to the instructions that the artists give to the AI to create their works.
