2nd Anniversary – Open door weekend and weekend programming

18th to 19th april 2009

LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial will commemorate its second anniversary with an open door weekend. Next Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, admission to the Art Center will be free and the public will be able to visit the exhibitions and participate in the scheduled activities, which include workshops and educational visits to the space. To celebrate the 24 months that have passed since its inauguration, on March 30, 2007.

Introduction

LABoral has expanded its programming aimed at children and families with the programWeekends at LABoral. As part of its public program, the Art Center has organized recreational-pedagogical proposals starting April 18 with the aim of promoting encounters between generations and facilitating formulas for learning through art and creation, showing an interest particularly due to the new habits of 21st century society.

The Guerrilla Garden workshop, in which parents and children will carry out the family cultivation of vegetables, greens and aromatic plants for their own consumption.

Games for the little ones, run by the collective ‘Get on my train’, which invites children of all ages to discover the spaces and exhibitions of the Art Center, are part of this offer.

In addition, on Saturdays, April 18 and 25, the Past in the Present workshop will be held, aimed at children between 8 and 11 years old, in which a rediscovery of the city of Gijón through photography is proposed.
