Presentation of LuPA ACTS

The new network of intersections between Art, Science, Technology and Society is organising a presentation at LABoral to showcase its projects.

24 February 2026

On 24 February at 7 p.m. at LABoral Centro de Arte, this initiative, which brings together agents from the worlds of art, science, technology and society, will be officially presented to the artistic and cultural community that forms part of it, as well as to Asturian society, in an open event promoting dialogue and social interaction organised by the LuPA ACTS association (LlaboratoriU de Practiques Artístiques. Arte, Ciencia, Teunoloxía y Sociedá).

The presentation will feature the participation of Semíramis González, director of LABoral Centro de Arte; Ramón Rubio, director of MediaLab at the University of Oviedo; María Castellanos, artist and president of LuPA ACTS Llaboratoriu de Práctiques Artístiques. Arte, Ciencia, Teunoloxía y Sociedá; Lucía Falcón, coordinator of LuPA ACTS; and Llorián García, researcher and musicologist.

In this way, a number of projects will be presented that demonstrate what these alliances produce and how they serve society as a whole and scientific and technological progress. Representatives of each of the four factors brought together here: Art, Science, Technology and Society, will be available to the public to explain and assist those attending this first meeting.

Throughout 2026, they will be found in other locations in Asturias, explaining and interacting with diverse communities.

How to participate

LABoral Centro de Arte invites the public to attend this open meeting, conceived as a space for dialogue and participation, to learn about the objectives, lines of work and initiatives of this network coordinated by agents from the fields of arts, science, technology and society.
