This year, at 7:05 p.m. at LABoral Centro de Arte, you can enjoy the presentation of Omegaville, a project by Los 3 Cerditos, developed in one of our artist residencies, which shows us a dystopian universe where visual poetry, cinema, and beauty are tools to make us think about the world we inhabit.

Real and virtual characters will help us reveal the unfathomable: the dispossession of territory, precariousness, the empire of billionaires, loneliness, submission, and fear. But Omegaville is also a search for forms of resistance, both intimate and collective.

The starting point for this project are the questions: How can we represent the economic or ecological crisis? Loneliness and despair? Fear and individualism? Exploring science fiction or, in other words, exploring the present. As we only know the past, that is all we have to try to understand where we are.

Los 3 Cerditos is a multidisciplinary collective of artists formed by Cristina Busto, Marta Blanco, and Luján Marcos.

How to get there:

A free bus will depart at 6:30 p.m. from Galería LaSalita (Avenida Manuel Llaneza no. 44) and take the public to LABoral Centro de Arte, the Evaristo Valle Museum and Galería ATM. At the end of the tour of these three venues, the bus will return to its point of departure. Due to the limited capacity of the bus, it is necessary to register in advance on the website cultura.gijon.es.
