Wladimir Schall

Musician and composer

Wladimir Schall is a conductor, orchestrator and Musique Concretist from Paris who is obsessed with loud silences, digital despair and Erik Satie. His work is at the intersection of conceptual art, intangible sculptures and the refining of acoustic non/senses. Touching both the fields of digital immediacy and analog evanescence, Mister Schall spreads Schall like Spores.

A former student of the Conservatoire de Paris in Conducting, Orchestration and Electroacoustic Composition, he launched the project Sonic Fabric in 2013 with the brand BLESS, exhibited at the MAK Museum in Vienna — a tactile sound installation hybridizing couture and sonic interaction. In 2016, he won the ENCAC prize with STULTUS, an audiovisual experimental duo.

His compositions have since been released on Gagarin Records (DE), Amicimiei (FR), Dischi Autunno (FR), Erratum Musical (FR) and SSI (RU). He performs across Europe and composes for film, theater and contemporary art installations.

He won the 2023 Best Theater Music of the Year award from Miesięcznik Teatr in Poland, and was nominated in 2024 for the Lithuanian Golden Cross of the Stage (Auksinis scenos kryžius). His collaborations include major fashion houses (Chanel, Dior, Valentino, The Row …), renowned directors (Krystian Lupa, Anne-Laure Liégeois …), and numerous celebrated musicians.
