Victor Mazón

Artist

Victor Mazón’s artistic practice takes shape through experimentation and the questioning of the limits of perception, altered states and vulnerability through the use of light and sound. This exercise is carried out by means of electronic devices of his own production. His work is materialised in three areas: site-specific action or performance through experimental processes; the exhibition, in different formats in museums or galleries; and the collaborative, through collective work groups or seminars in cultural and academic centres. He has shown his work in museums, biennials, festivals, galleries, radio-television stations, urban screens or billboards in different locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Nepal, Russia, North Africa and numerous European countries. The list includes the Sonandes Bienal Internacional de Arte Sonoro de Bolivia, Moscow Bienal Young Artist Moskow, Tsonami Valaparaiso, Auditum Medellin, Piksel Bergen, SuperCollider Symposium, Transmediale, ARS Electronica, Incubate, Sonic Acts, The Brno Haus of Arts G99, MACO-Museo Arte Contemporaneo Oaxaca, Arts Santa Monica and Museo Reina Sofia, among others.
