Tristan Perich

Musician

Lives and works in the USA

Inspired by the aesthetics of mathematics and physics, Perich works with simple forms and complex systems in an oeuvre that reacts to the challenge of elegance within acoustic and electronic music and physical and digital art. Wired magazine has described his compositions as “an austere meeting of the electronic and the organic”. In 2009 he was the subject of a solo exhibition at bitforms gallery, New York. In 2009 Ars Electronica honoured him for his composition Active Field (ten violins and 1-bit music on ten channels) and for 2010 Rhizome has commissioned an audio installation. Perich studied exact sciences, music and computer science at Columbia University.
