Project in residence

Ars Natura

Ars Natura is an ambient music project built on fake field recordings, artificially generated through processed guitars that aim to emulate natural environments reminiscent of fictitious geographies. The project began to take shape in Madrid at the end of 2018 but the following year Tomás moved to Picos de Europa to complete the composition and recording process in a rural setting, closer to nature. After publishing the project in December 2021 and presenting it live in several places around the peninsula, Tomás will present the project in quadraphonic sound at the LABoral art centre, using the possibilities offered by quadraphonic to favour the immersion of the listener in an intimate and introspective discourse that gives rise to reflection on our relationship with the natural environment, highlighting both its beauty and its fragility.
