Salomé Wackernagel

Architect

Salomé Wackernagel is an architect with a degree from the University of the Arts Berlin (UdK). Her training in design and architecture began in 2008 in Paris (ESAA Duperré), after which she continued in Versailles (ENSAV) and Berlin (TU/UdK). He then collaborated with several architectural firms between 2012 and 2016, before developing his own renovation and refurbishment projects for homes and offices in France, Switzerland, Germany and Spain. In parallel to private commissions, he started to develop participatory processes in public space in Germany and Spain. The project Repensar la Periferia, a collaborative urban planning process developed between 2017 and 2021, in collaboration with Orekari Estudio and with the support of the Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Huarte, as well as the Innova Cultural programme (Fundación la Caixa and Fundación Caja Navarra), proposes for example the cultural activation of neglected, in creation and/or in mutation places in the periphery of Pamplona. Since 2021, Salomé Wackernagel has been engaged in a research process entitled Rurápolis, as a member of the Research Laboratory of the School of Architecture of Versailles (LéaV), in France, and with a grant from the University of Paris-Cergy (CY). Salomé lives and works in Gijón.
