Born in Oviedo, 1977

Ruth + Erre graduated in Fine Arts in Bilbao in 2000, at the University of the Basque Country, and later specialized in artistic photography. She takes numerous courses related to the image, the plastic arts and various disciplines around art in its various manifestations. In her last year of University she completed an Erasmus at the Faculty of Art and Design at the University of the West of England, which would later help her obtain a Guggenheim scholarship. Her artistic and professional career has always been linked to art, working in Galleries, Festivals and Art Fairs. In 2002 she participated in the event organized by the French DANAE Foundation in La Laboral, and from then on she exhibited in almost all the exhibition spaces on the Asturian circuit. She received the II Barjola Scholarship and her work was selected for the project. To the north. She currently works as a teacher at the Higher School of Art of the Principality of Asturias and at the School of Art of Oviedo. She began her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Art History of the University of Oviedo. In 2017 she completed the University Master’s Degree in Scientific Culture and Innovation at the University of Oviedo and the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
