Ricardo Anadón

PhD, Professor and author

PhD in Biology from the Complutense University of Madrid. He has worked at the Institute of Marine Research of the CSIC in Vigo and as a fellow of the Juan March Foundation. He is currently retired Professor of Ecology at the University of Oviedo. He has been Dean of the Faculty of Biology. He has carried out research stays in national and foreign centres. He has participated in national and European projects, being principal investigator in more than 25 of them. He has directed contracts with companies and the Administration. He is the author of more than 100 articles and book chapters and has participated in National and European Research Commissions on Oceanography and Global Change. He has participated in oceanographic campaigns in the Antarctic, the tropical Atlantic and the Caribbean and in temperate seas. In recent decades he has devoted his activity to assessing the impact of Climate Change on the oceans and has participated as a reviewer in TAR and FAR of the IPCC. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the CuCC of the University of Oviedo.
