Pablo DeSoto

Pablo DeSoto is a multidisciplinary scholar and artist with an iconoclastic experience across geographic and disciplinary boundaries. He has a Master in Architecture from the Royal Institute of Architecture in Stockholm and a Doctor in Communication and Culture from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He was co-founder of hackitectura, a collective of architects, programmers and activists responsible for pioneering projects of public space intervention with critical technologies, whose works have been exhibited at the ZKM Center for Art and Media, LABoral or at the Seville Art Biennial YOUniverse. He is editor of the books Fadaiat: Freedom of Movement, Freedom of Knowledge, Situation Room: Designing a Prototype of a Citizen Situation Room and After.Video: Assemblages. Artist residency scholarships at Tokyo Wonder Site and Townhouse Gallery Cairo. He has won numerous awards, including LAB_Cyberspaces, LAB_JovenExperimenta, DKV and NTNU ARTEC.
