Feedback Exhibition Producer

Niki first got bitten by the art & technology bug in 1998 when she discovered the Cybertheatre, a multimedia theatre and cybercafé in Brussels, when she was working for the European Parliament. She left the European institutions to work for them as a netsurfer and this led her to do a Masters (Msc) in Interactive Multimedia at the University of Westminster. From there, she worked as a web designer, before getting bored and taking a small specialist media arts event called Cybersalon which happened in London pubs,(www.cybersalon.org) to the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) (www.ica.org.uk). Here she raised its audience by tenfold and ran events which discussed issues and showed the latest developments in wearable technology, mobile culture, cybersex, webstreaming and many more.

She then worked at a number of public art centres in London: as Head of New Media Arts at Watermans arts centre(www.watermans.org.uk) and later as Technology Commissioning Editor and interim Creative Director to set up Rich Mix, East London’s newest and largest creative space(www.richmix.org.uk). Here she worked on, amongst other things, an exhibition for Lille 3000, France, on a show called Brick Lane, showing the impact of Asian culture in the UK and vice versa.

Her first degree is in Economics and French.
