Graduate in Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid. She carried out feminist studies at the Women’s Studies Department of the University of Utrecht, at the Noise Summer School in Ljubliana, Slovenia, both in 2004. She continued her training in feminisms in Madrid taking the UCM Spring courses “Feminist Laboratory: Do Feminisms Matter?” Bodies?” and summer in El Escorial “Mundos de Mujeres” both in 2006. Since that same year and until 2009 she is part of the feminist audiovisual collective “ENVIDEAS” which in turn belonged to the Eskalera Karakola, a feminist collective located in Lavapiés, Madrid . She arrived in Asturias in 2009 to complete the master’s degree “Gender and Diversity” at the University of Oviedo, which ended with the master’s thesis “They can speak. Representations of the others in the documentary Extranjeras de Helena taberna”, specializing in cinema and feminisms, specifically in the documentary genre.

Jorge Nava studied Fine Arts in Bilbao from 2000 to 2006. In 2006 he obtained an Erasmus scholarship at the University of Berlin Weissensee. He returns to Bilbao in 2007 to only painting; In 2008 Nava spends nine months in Berlin painting and since late 2008 he lives in Gijón devoted exclusively to painting.

Melania Fraga studied at the Oviedo School of Arts and Crafts in the late nineties. She studied Higher Image Technology and journalism, combining these formal training with other courses in art, sculpture, theater, technology…

He worked and continues to work in communication and creation, both audiovisual and Web content: “The look of the wind”, “Asturias. The 20th century in images”, “AFA, the History of feminism in Asturias”, “Indigenous Wisdom”, “Couscús” and the documentary “Eu soi quen fun”, presented at the 47th and 50th Xixón International Film Festival, respectively . Are some examples.

He participated in collective exhibitions by the official body and in his own such as “Los santos also suck” (censored) or “A glance at the other shore.” In projects such as “Mapeando Asturies”, “Cabina”, “Véndete tu”, “La Boda Negra”, “La Caja Negra”… And with the AMAR Association and the children’s project Recreando we wrote a story: “How Narima Met Salek” that brings the life and dreams of a child who lives in the Sahrawi camps to his new friend from Gijón.

Currently, she combines the implementation of cultural and communication projects with the teaching of content on gender equality.

Edition of the video “Ecosex, part real, part imagination”. The video can be seen in the ecolab exhibition hall until 10/31/11

OBJECT OF WORK: video of interviews and recordings surrounding the workshop on ecosexuality carried out by Beth Stephens and Annie Sprinkle in preparation for the performance “The Black Wedding” held during Black Week. This workshop was held in July on platform zero of Laboral Art Center.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO: Although most of the material is documents that are based on the workshop process, our interest is in making a more artistic video. Trying to learn to edit and explore the possibilities of video, experimenting with audio and image so as not to remain in the merely documentary nature of the workshop.
