María Elena Ceniceros González

PhD and lecturer

PhD in Economics from the University of Oviedo. Degree in Economics and Business Studies and Diploma in Tourism.

She is a lecturer in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Oviedo, which she joined after working at the Spanish Trade Office in Toronto (Canada) and participating in the management of the Asturias office of the European Union’s Opening Programme (ECOS-Ouverture). Since 2001 she has been involved in the research project Sistema de Información Turística de la Universidad de Oviedo (SITUO).

Since 2011 she is Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Tourism and Social Sciences Jovellanos, and since 2023 Director of the Chair Milla del Conocimiento Xixón Sostenibilidad.
