Ludic Society

International association

Margarete Jahrmann & Max Moswitzer

The Ludic Society was founded in 2005 by Jahrmann/Moswitzer and is an international association with the aim of stimulating playfulness and making it an emerging discipline. The Society’s periodical includes international contributions on pleasure, fun and play. The magazine was first presented in 2005 at the Neue Galerie Graz, and later at the Transmediale Berlin (2006), the Centro Cultural Conde Duque Madrid, the Plymouth Arts Centre (2007), the Tweakfest in Zurich, and at the DEAF festival in Rotterdam. LS’s methodology is expressed in the form of a poetic statement based on neo-pathophysical games and texts. Manifesting its practical incorrectness of theory, it presented a series of electromagnetic toys in which LS members developed new “machines célibataires, neo-pathophysical objects, and launched Game Fashion in Milan in December 2007.
