Born in Langreo, Asturias, 1965

Graduated with a degree in History of Art. She has produced, written and directed several short films, corporate documentaries and TV programmes. Since 1993 she is also a member of the Film & Documentary Programming committee for Telemadrid. At the current moment she is working on the pre-production for the fiction film Alegría. She is a founding member of BAC MEDIA, a production company with a mission to develop film, television and multimedia projects, with a special focus on documentaries and new formats for television and other channels of diffusion. Torre is also a driving force behind ARDA (Association of Filmmakers and Directors of Asturias). In 2000 she was nominated for the Goya for Best Fiction Short for El beso de la tierra.
