Lives and works in Barcelona

PhD in Telecommunications Engineering, he is currently Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He has been the coordinator of the European research project POEtic, which has resulted in the creation of a new family of electronic devices that allow the construction of electronic fabrics with bio-inspired characteristics. He has also participated in European research projects related to programmable electronic devices (RECONF 2 and FIPSOC project) and artificial neural network models (ELENA project). His research interests include bio-inspired computing techniques, programmable device architectures, artificial neural network modelling and analogue-digital microelectronic design. On these topics he has developed more than 100 publications.
