Jonah Brucker-Cohen

Researcher, artist and member

Jonah Brucker-Cohen is a researcher, artist and member of the R&D OpenLab in Eyebeam, New York.

He is currently completing his PhD as a HEA MMRP Fellow at the Network and Telecommunications Research Group (NTRG) at Trinity College Dublin.

He has been a member of the research team at the Media Lab Europe in Dublin. Master of the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University, where he was also a research member.

His work focuses on “Network Deconstruction”, a topic that encompasses projects aimed at questioning and subverting assumed perceptions about interacting and experiencing networks. He is one of the founders of the Dublin Art and Technology Association.

Awarded the ARANEUM Prize, his writings have been published in various media, including WIRED Magazine, Rhizome or Gizmodo, and his work has been exhibited in exhibitions and events such as DEAF (2003), Art Futura (2004), SIGGRAPH (2000,2005), UBICOMP (2002,2003,2004), CHI (2004,2006), Transmediale (2002,2004), ISEA (2002,2004,2006), ICA London (2004), Whitney ArtPort (2003), Ars Electronica (2002,2004 ), ZKM Museum of Contemporary Art (2004/5).
