John Klima

Creator

John Klima uses a variety of technologies to create his computer hardware and software works. In his tireless desire to link the virtual with the real, Klima builds large-scale electro-mechanical installations that are operated by three-dimensional video game software that he programs from scratch. His piece Train (2003), which is part of the permanent collection of the MEIAC in Badajoz, is particularly noteworthy. Klima has exhibited in numerous museums and galleries in the USA, Europe and Asia. He has recently collaborated with the Courant Institute, New York University, as a research scientist, and currently works as an adjunct professor of Digital Media at the Rhode Island School of Design.
