Javier de la Cueva (Madrid, 1962) has a degree in Law and a master’s degree in advanced studies in Philosophy from the Complutense University of Madrid. He works as a lawyer. In his hands has been the defense, among others, of Ladinamo (first ruling that recognized Copyleft), of Sharemula (which confirmed that websites linking to files on p2p networks do not commit crimes) and of cases of p2p networks. He is a professor of the subject of intellectual property in the Musical Creation Degree at the European University of Madrid. Creator and promoter of Free Procedures, whose first procedure was the lawsuit against the fee on digital media, he currently dedicates himself, in addition to his work as a lawyer, to programming various technological projects. He is also a speaker, a GNU/Linux user since 1998 and a systems administrator under said operating system since 2003. He writes his scripts in Python.
