EL JALEO PRODUCCIONES ARTÍSTICAS S.L. is a recently created company formed after the experience gained from the co-production of the show “HORROR EL SHOW QUE NUNCA SE DEBIÓ HACER” by the companies HIGIENICO PAPEL TEATRO, SALTANTES TEATRO, AMBIGÚ MEDIA BROADCAST Y GUAYOMINÍ PRODUCCIONES.
Within the atomization of theatre companies that exists in Asturias, we believe that it is necessary to unite to be able to face large-scale projects such as this one, in which four professional theatre companies from Asturias have joined forces and possibilities to face more ambitious projects in these difficult times that the national scene and the Asturian one in particular are going through. A unique bet in these times when most of the productions do not go beyond three actors.

‘Corín tellado, el espectáculo’
2019 marks the tenth anniversary of the death of Corín Tellado. El Jaleo Producciones Artísticas is preparing a tribute show about the life and work of the writer, which will open on 13 April at the Teatro Jovellanos in Gijón.
The show is conceived as a biography that will include various moments in the life of Corín Tellado, but there will also be space for fiction, as the work will include Tellado’s literary universe and her imagination.
A tireless worker, throughout her long literary career Corín Tellado has published around 4,000 titles, has sold more than 400 million copies of her novels and has been translated into several languages. In 1994 she was the best-selling author in Spanish. Her success lies in her ability to make her readers identify with her characters and to turn everyday life into a great adventure in search of love.
Laura Iglesia writes and directs Corín Tellado, the show. Without being strictly speaking a musical, the music and choreography will have a strong presence in the show, to recreate and contextualise the entire historical journey from 1927, the year of the writer’s birth, until her death in 2009.
