Ícaro Obeso Muñiz

PhD, engineer and lecturer

PhD in Geography from the University of Oviedo. Technical Engineer in Topography, Graduate in Geography and Territorial Planning and Master’s Degree in Territorial Resources and Planning Strategies from the University of Oviedo. He is currently a lecturer in the Geography Department of the University of Oviedo. He has carried out a research stay at the University of Oporto and a training stay at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum in Bochum, funded by the grant of the Mobility Agreement signed between the German university and the University of Oviedo. Researcher attached to the Institute of Natural Resources and Territorial Planning (INDUROT), member of the accredited research group Legal-Social Studies on Territory and Sustainable Urban Development (GTDS) and of the Centro de Estudos de Geografia e Ordenamento do Território (CEGOT), formed by the Departments of Geography of the Universities of Oporto and Coimbra (Portugal). His activity is linked to urban planning, land use planning and landscape transformations. He collaborates with the CuCC of the University of Oviedo.
