Fran Avilés’ musical proposal addresses his own repertoire, between folk-rock and popular songs.
After a long professional stay in Morocco developing architectural projects, he returned to the guitar and in 2012 published the demo PROYECTO SOL, the same name under which he performed at events such as “Fiesta de la Cultura – Los Maizales”, “Fête de La Musique”, “Rock Oviedo”, “Acoger ye natural”, “Gijón Sound Festival”, and in spaces such as the Gijón Old Institute Culture Center, Riera de Cangas de Narcea Theatre, FNAC, Sala Acapulco, Juan Barjola Museum, Plaza Mayor of Gijón, Iván de Library Vargas from Madrid, among others.
In 2015 he published the EP DOS and won first prize in the Gijón COMA demo competition. In 2016 the Xixón Musicians Workshop published a CD with songs from PROYECTO SOL. The proposal to self-publish a new album is selected by VERKAMI in a public contest of creative ideas, publishing the LP “CANCIONES DE AMOR Y SOMBRA” in 2017. Recorded in Xixón and mastered in Cádiz, the album has outstanding collaborations, being released in vinyl + CD format with great care.
He is currently working on new repertoire.

Roses
The musician Fran Avilés will work during his residency on the final phase of production of one or several musical pieces included in an album project, taking advantage of the resources offered by LABoral and exploring sounds that can enrich the project through the use of electro-acoustic elements. , programming and effects.
On the other hand, ROSES gives its name to one of the songs. This term shares the same meaning in different languages and in any case a song can be seen as a rose, an idea around which the recording of an audiovisual work is intended to be carried out in parallel.
