Enrique Tomás (Madrid, 1981) is a sound artist, researcher and activist dedicated to the search for new forms of expression and play with technology. His work has focused mainly on the field of computer music, locative media and human-computer interaction. He is a member of different collectives with which he develops his work. With escoitar.org he investigates the phenomenon of listening and the value of sound heritage, having developed the platform noTours.org. With endphase.net he is interested in electroacoustic improvisation. With FASE he creates collaborative artistic installations. Individually he develops his activity as ultranoise.es making performances and installations with extreme and immersive sounds. He has presented his work in Ars Electronica, Casa Encendida, CDMC, SONAR, KUMU, SMAK, Medialab-Prado, Laboral, Planetarium Amsterdam, STEIM, Festival Observatori, Festival Ertz, Festival Insonora, Arteleku, etc and galleries and institutions all over Europe and Mexico. As an educator he has developed multiple workshops on technologies for creative expression. After having been part of Futurelab-Ars Electronica, he currently directs the Labor Für Elektroakustische Musik und Neue Medien in Linz, Austria.
