David Valentine. This filmmaker experiments with modern technologies, both obsolete and developing, to find new ways of applying them to the content and meaning of a film. In his work he collaborates with young people who are difficult to reach, and has produced short films for national distribution that have won several awards. He is also a regular contributor to the international independent film magazine Showreel. MediaShed is the first free-media space in the East of England, and is located at the mouth of the Thames. A space where you can create art, things or simply say what you want to say at little or no cost through public domain, free software, recycled equipment and a lot of enthusiasm.
