Cova Macias

Artist

(Oviedo, 1976)

His artistic practice examines the processes of identity construction in more vulnerable periods of life such as adolescence and youth, opening lines of work and reflection that explore the intersections between art, education and social change. The research developed in recent years is especially articulated around migratory grief, the structure of family ties, the factors that promote resilience in adverse situations, or the transition to adult life of young people sheltered in the child protection system. . The audiovisual narratives generated in their projects intimately analyze this territory from a dialogic methodology, based on the configuration of a space of security and trust with the young protagonists, to arrive together at the construction of their life stories.
