Cory Massaro was born in exurban Ohio, USA; he currently lives in Quito, Ecuador. He writes speculative fiction and poetry and does translations of the same. He also creates software and conducts linguistic research using computational techniques. Always obsessed with learning more languages. Cory is an associate editor at The Wild Word, where he publishes a series of essays, or rather an ongoing cry about the problems of the Western concept of technology.
