OPTICOM is an audiovisual project that tries to explore the forms of communication between two entities. What is communicating? Can machines talk to each other? What are the limits of communication? These are some of the questions that the artists raise in this project. To investigate all this, the ARTEA collective will confront two lasers with mirrors with a small hole in their fronts. Mirrors simulate “feedback” between the two entities, which could create infinite beams of light, or not participate in the communication if the beams are outside their limits, like a message thrown into the air. Cuts of planes, lines, points, shapes… All of this surrounded by custom-designed sounds, creating a unique experience, full of excitement.
