Ángel Borrego

Architect

Ángel Borrego has a PhD in Architecture from the ETSAM (School of Architecture of Madrid) and a M.Arch from Princeton University, where he studied with a Fulbright grant.

He has lectured at Princeton University, Pratt Institute New York, University of Alicante and now teaches at ETSAM. In 1999 he founded Office for Strategic Spaces (OSS) for the study of the contemporary urban space and its economic, social and cultural implications. OSS’ mandate embraces architectural projects and research, art interventions and the implementation of information organisation strategies to contribute to decision-making processes. OSS’ flexible and open structure enables it to adapt easily to the diversity of the commissions it undertakes. Its wide span of concerns covers everything from architecture and public space to collective research proposals including IIAVE, Constitución Americana 2.0, ¡Ensanche! AMMPLIO and the www.wordww.net project, as well as exhibitions and publications.
