Project in residence

Apariciones sonoras

The starting point of the project focuses on the investigation of the possible choreographic and plastic dimensions of sound. The aim is to create an experience close to the phenomenon of synaesthesia, where sound acquires form and plasticity and the body and objects acquire sonority. Synaesthesia consists of joining two images or sensations coming from different sensory domains, as for example when we say the colour green is garish.

Staging what is seen by sounding and heard by looking. The plastic capacity of sound and synaesthesia is constructed through the conjunction of the elements body-object-sound relating and affecting each other. Transferring concepts of sonority, spatiality, corporeality and temporality from one element to another.
