He art at the New York University / International Center of Photography (2000). Solo exhibitions include: Uruguay Pavilion, 54th Venice Biennale (2011); Uno sin el otro, Museo Rufino Tamayo, Mexico City (2011); Present Memory, Tate Modern, London (2010); Artpace – San Antonio, San Antonio (2010); 3 Works, Tanya Leighton Gallery, Berlin (2009); and Once Within a Room, Murray Guy, New York (2008). His works have been included in group exhibitions in museums and galleries worldwide, such as: MoMA, New York (2010); The Blanton Museum of Art, Austin (2010); and Malba – Fundación Costantini, Museo de Arte Latinoamericano, Buenos Aires (2007). He has won the following grants and distinctions: Art Matters (2009); The Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative Award, selected by John Baldessari (2006); The New Commissions Program, Art in General, New York (2006); and Emerging Artist Fellowship, Socrates Sculpture Park, Long Island (2003). His works are included in the public collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Denver, Colby College Museum of Art, Microsoft Art Collection, Deutsche Bank Art Collection and Princeton University Museum of Art.
