The Foundation La Laboral. Centro de Arte, Creación Industrial y Promoción Cultural is a cultural body to serve the general interest, as well as the governing body of the art centre. The aims of the Foundation as described in Article 6.1 of the statutes are “to promote and disseminate art and industrial creation through the management of LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial.”

In recent years, LABoral has led the project, European Network for Contemporary Audiovisual Creation (ENCAC, 2015-2017), and is part of four other European projects that research, develop and promote the production of new experiences and knowledge in different interdisciplinary fields: Studiotopia-Art meets Science in the Anthropocene, (2019-2022), the European Media Art Platform (EMAP, 2018-2021), Vertigo STARTS Residencies (Science, Technologies and the Arts, 2017-2020) and the European ARTificial Intelligence Lab (AILAB, 2018-2021) which gives continuity to the previous project of the European Digital Art and Science Network (EDASN, 2016-2019), of which LABoral was also a part.
