Citizens' LAB: NC248 Radio

Design: Yolanda Go

A non-profit online radio station that is now in its second stage of broadcasting live music from LABoral Centro de Arte.

The project was developed within the second call of LABoral_IMPULSA residencies in which a ship container was rehabilitated as a radio studio and the tools and website for internet broadcasting were defined.

Previously located in the back courtyard of LABoral Centro de Arte, the gallery at the main entrance to the centre is the new location for its container, where performances, record presentations and DJ sets of different musical styles are broadcast three times a week, providing a space for bands, collectives, promoters, labels and music selectors from all over the country.

With a year and a half of live broadcasts, it is gradually consolidating itself as one of the reference proposals in the province for its community, inclusive and independent character, promoting the diversification of culture though music with weekly programming and covering special events such as Imagina Ciudad, of the New European Bauhaus, the winter market of LABoral Centro de Arte or the special on the occasion of the celebration of the LEV Festival.

The near future is full of new collaborations in addition to the usual residents and the development of their own app to listen to their programmes live. If you want to collaborate, don't hesitate to send your proposal to info@nc248radio.com

This initiative is part of the Citizen Laboratories pilot project launched by LABoral Centro de Arte.
