A moment of the visit of the management of Group EdP Foundations

The management of the cultural foundations belonging to the EdP-Energias de Portugal group visited LABoral this afternoon where they were received by its Director, Rosina Gómez-Baeza, and by Chief Curator, Benjamin Weil. Headed by the Director of the HC Energía Foundation, Nicanor Fernández, the senior managers of the cultural bodies through which the Group’s companies run their sponsorship and patronage activities, took a tour of the premises at the Centre of Art and Industrial Creation and visited the exhibition Noches eléctricas [Electric Nights], a co-production by LABoral and the Parisian Centre Pompidou.

The directors of the foundations in Portugal, Brazil and Spain are currently holding their annual meeting in Asturias and in addition to bringing together ideas and projects, they are visiting those which they are involved in through sponsorship. The HC Foundation is a member of the Board that has ruled the fate of the Centre of Art and Industrial Creation in Gijón since its creation. Formed in June 1996, the HC Energía Foundation is a general interest, non-profit organisation whose aims include “the carrying out of cultural, educational, training, research, sports promotion and beneficial activities as well as other similar activities”. The numerous projects in which it is engaged underpin its permanent commitment to improving the quality of life for citizens and in Asturias.

EDP – Energias de Portugal is one of the main electricity groups in Europe, and the largest one in Portugal. In addition, it is present in the electricity sectors in Latin America (mainly in Brazil), Africa and Macau, in the generation, distribution and commercial business and has 10 million clients and 12,000 employees all over the world.
