This 17th and 18th December LABoral will hold a new session of its design market in which some fifty Asturian creators will display and sell their work to the public. Coinciding with this event, LABoral has organised two doors open days on Saturday and Sunday with free entrance and visits to the exhibitions currently being shown at the Centre.

The LABshop Design Market started in December 2008 as a new space open to creativity which seeks to showcase the work carried out by designers. In each edition, the public has the opportunity to see and purchase graphic works, t-shirts, badges, photographs, buttons, postcards, bags, belts, undergarments, home decor items, jewellery, shoes and dresses, among other things. All of them are original and unique creations, artesanally produced by young designers working in the Principality of Asturias.

In this market, LABoral also puts on sale, at a reduced price, publications and objects usually sold at the Art Centre’s shop. On offer along with merchandising items will be design objects made exclusively for LABoral as well as catalogues on the exhibitions produced at the Centre.

The Doors Open days include free guided tours, scheduled for 1 pm and 6pm on Saturday, of the exhibitions Estación experimental. Investigaciones y fenómenos artísticos [Experimental Station: Research and Artistic Phenomena]; Hitos, ya nadie muere en casa [Milestones, No One Dies At Home Anymore] by Eduardo Guerra; Light Sculptures by Anthony McCall; and also offer firsthand experience of the research processes that arose in SummerLAB 2011 through the SummerLAB_Showcase display, which is being exhibited in Mediateca Expandida [Expanded Mediatheque]; visitors can also take part in ten sound walks produced in the Spatial Narratives programme as part of the activities by Plataforma Cero, the Production Centre at LABoral; and see EcoLAB. Electronics, Art and Ecology.

Additionally, on Sunday 18th at 7 pm there will be live music in a concert by Spicy Mustard & The Pickles.
