The Open Door days include free guided tours of the exhibitions on show at the Centre. These are Realidad elástica [Elastic Reality], a show which through the work by ten artists analyses the evolution of artistic forms normally associated with the concept of interactivity; and Universo vídeo_Prácticas experimentales, which includes a selection from the Le Fresnoy videographic catalogue aimed at the representation of a world in motion from a contingent, exacting angle and to provide a structure and meaning to a confusing, constant state of change, embodied in each of these works.
The public will also be able to see El enjambre [The Swarm], ecoLAB’s work and documentation space - the experimentation laboratory at the intersection between ecology, art and open electronics at LABoral. El enjambre displays the work processes, meetings and activities at ecoLAB, the artists’ ways of working and the secrets of the non-garden. In the outdoors of LABoral visitors may also visit crear bosques [creating forests], a tree plantation arising from an artistic action following the compilation of sponsorship applications.
GUIDED VISITS
LABoral offers free guided visits for the public which will take place on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and public holidays at 12.30 pm and 4.30 pm, whereas on Saturday and Sunday they are scheduled at 1 pm and 5 pm.
AUDIOVISUAL CULTURE WORKSHOP
On the occasion of Easter, LABoral has organised an introduction workshop to audiovisual culture on 30 and 31 March, which is intended for families and children aged between six and 11-years-old and free of charge with prior registration at 985 185 577
The participants will work on making a thaumatrope, a disc with two different pictures on both sides which are attached by a piece of string on each side of the disc. Both images are combined by twirling the string between the fingers, making the disc spin and rapidly change its face. The rapid spin produces optically, based on the persistence of vision principle, the illusion that both images are together.
Intended for: children from 6-11 years old
Groups: maximum 20 participants (prior reservation)
Length: 45 minutes.
Date: 30 and 31 March
Time: 6-7 pm.
Information and registration: 985 185 577

The art centre will host, between 10 am and 2 pm, this workshop in which the participants will design, construct and set in motion the robots, building on LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT Education robots.
