On 16 September close the period for the the LABjoven_Experimenta Award
Dedicated to experimental artistic proposals specifically conceived to be exhibited at the Centre of Art and Industrial Creation, the winning project will be awarded with 11,800 euros

This coming 16th September will be the deadline for the submission of projects for the LABjoven_Experimenta Award, jointly organised by the Principality of Asturias -through the "Culturaquí" programme- and LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial in Gijón, with the aim of supporting the production and creation of young artists in the region.
This award, which has already reached its fifth edition, is dedicated to experimental artistic projects (installations, multimedia installations, actions, interventions and any other creative process) specifically conceived for its exhibition in the Sala de Columnas [Column Room] at LABoral. The Award provides 11,800€ for the production of the proposal which will be selected by a jury made up of well-known experts linked to the arts.
The calls for proposals is open to artists or artist collectives, born or resident in the Principality of Asturias, or up to the second generation of Asturian emigrants whose age does not exceed 35 years old on the 31st December 2011. Artists and collectives who have won awards in previous editions are not eligible.
In previous editions, the following artists and projects were selected: Pablo de Soto, with Situation Room (2007); Fernando Gutiérrez, with Crisálidas [Chrysalises] (2008); Alicia Jiménez, with En barbecho [Left Fallow] (2009); and Adrián Cuervo, with Dédalo España (2010).
