LABoral has renewed the composition of its Board of Trustees with the incorporation of three new trustees: Luis Figaredo, representing the Association of Friends of LABoral; Pablo Rodríguez for Telefónica I+D and Alicia Ventura, Director of Gestión Arte Ventura.

During the meeting held on Saturday 14 December, chaired by the Minister for Education, Culture and Sport of the Principality of Asturias, Ana González, the companies and institutions forming part of it confirmed their support of LABoral, an institution which produces, distributes and promotes access to new cultural forms arising from the creative use of information and communication technologies.

It is precisely in light of this support and in the desire to give representation to those companies and institutions which show their commitment to the project by financing part of its activity that the admission of the new trustees is framed.

Luis Figaredo, expert in Maritime Law, will represent the Association of Friends of LABoral, of which he is president. Established last July, it is aimed at promoting, stimulating and supporting all cultural initiatives which have a connection with the mission and activity of the Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial.

The Asturian Pablo Rodríguez is Director of the Internet and Multimedia Centre for Telefónica I+D in Barcelona and Research and Innovation Director of TI+D, with which LABoral jointly organises Next Things, a yearly call for which an art and new technologies project is selected which is developed in an artist residency at LABoral and the R+D centre of the above body in Barcelona.

For her part, Alicia Ventura is head of the Arteria DKV programme and Director of the DKV Art Collection, and she also runs the cuidArt project at the hospital Marina Salud in Denia. She will represent Gestión Arte Ventura on the Board of Trustees.
