The fourth meeting of the project  Transferencias opens based on the anthropological premise by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari that art starts with the animal, “with the animal that marks out a territory  and builds a house”. The event will take place next Saturday at noon, at the Philosophy Lab of the exhibition Materia Prima, showcased at LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación industrial. The researcher Leticia González will conduct a debate on the relationship between the ways of doing of art and the building of multiple spaces and territories.

The meeting is mainly aimed at critically analysing three key concepts: The territory, the local context and the artists. To this end, reflection will be encouraged by means of an open debate around the following question: Which action lines introduce art, science and new technologies in the ways of inhabiting and building new territories?

Based on the observation of the references that build the territory and how these markers become matter of multiple and/or sensitive expression. The Archive of Asturian Artists will be explored to see how Asturian art follows heterogeneous lines that, based on the local context, result in very peculiar ways of understanding the common territory.

This meeting is part of the project Transferencias. Las artes, las ciencias y las nuevas formas de lo local, a Philosophy Lab in the framework of the exhibition Materia prima, that tackles the question of the plurality of arts and sciences and the need to generate collaborative processes of knowledge transfer to strengthen the common knowledge.

The project by the collective Econodos, made up by the artists Lorena Lozano and Verónica G. Ardura, is structured around three meetings with presentations, interviews and debates, inviting creators to reflect upon social and political meaning of digital technologies and their ethical and aesthetic implications. Their voices and thoughts are registered in audio in order to visualise local networks or micro-networks while, at the same time, a manifesto on the proposed questions is collectively drafted.
