LABshop, a design space selling limited editions
Limited editions, books, magazines and merchandising on sale at the LABoral Centre for Art and Creative Industries and its website
The LABshop, designed by the Asturias-born architect and interior designer Patricia Urquiola, is located on the ground floor of the LABoral Centre for Art and Creative Industries.
LABshop has a space for the exhibition and sale of limited editions, including a selection of 15 unique pieces made by local, Spanish and international artists. The works have an average edition of 30. Works by artists like Eugenio Ampudia (cockroaches), Maite Centol (erasers), Liam Gillick (ruler), Fabian Marcaccio (notebook), Juan Carlos Martínez (flowerpot holder), Blanca Nieto (mugs), Natalia Pastor (postcards), PSJM (poems) and Avelino Sala (bottle rack) are available at the LABshop.
LABshop also has a wide selection of books and other publications related with art and industrial creation. The overall bibliographic concept and selection is by the publishers and distributors Cataclismo.
Each one of the LABoral opening exhibitions?Feedback, Gameworld, Cyberspaces and Extensions-Anchors?has its own colour catalogue designed by Fernando Gutiérrez, including descriptions of the pieces on show and information on the artists and curators. The catalogues are on sale at the LABshop.
Fernando Gutiérrez, designer of the LABoral corporate identity, and Chus Burés have also designed a number of merchandising products using the LABoral brand, including bags, T-Shirts, umbrellas, caps, etc.
LABshop is also a virtual shop for all users of the LABoral Centre for Art and Creative Industries website: www.laboralcentrodearte.org. The Cajastur savings bank is collaborating with LABoral on the online store with an on-line payment system, validating the operation in real time.
