LABoral will celebrate World Book Day this Monday 23rd April with the participation of some one hundred students from various educational centres in the region.
LABoral has made this day into an unmissable event with school children attending to celebrate the occasion in workshops which aim to to stimulate reading and knowledge of literature in an artistic setting.
This year the Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial in Gijón has invited five-year-old boys and girls from various educational centres in the region to take part. The activities will last one hour and 30 minutes and will be held from 9.30 am to 11 am and 11.15 am to 12.45 pm. The school children will have the opportunity to take part in book exchanges: each pupil brings along a book that he or she has already read and exchanges it for one belonging to one of their classmates. In addition, book workshops of the Pop Up three-dimensional publications have been designed. These aim to bring the creative process behind the books closer to the participants, showing them Pop Up books so that later on they can be invited to create their own.
