LABoral organises an introduction course to design which will take place over four weekends
The designer Marco Recuero will teach this introduction workshop
LABoral has organised an ‘Introduction to Design, Illustration and Layout Professional Tools’ course, with its first series taking place on each Saturday between 12 January and 2 February. The Asturian designer Marco Recuero, coordinator of the design market held by LABoral every three months, will teach this introduction workshop to design and vector illustration with Adobe Illustrator, creation of documents, books and magazines using Adobe Indesign and photographic retouching with Photoshop.
Following the success in registration for the course, a second series has been planned which will be held on Saturdays 16 and 23 February and 2 and 9 March. Those interested in participating can register online at
talleres@laboralcentrodearte.org
The workshop will be divided into three parts:
- Introduction to Illustrator. The most widely used tool in design and vector illustration by most professionals for a whole range of printed matter. This programme is especially recommended for more versatile design since it allows you to complete the whole process from sketch to the final artwork.
- Introduction to Indesign. Key tool in editorial design which allows working with documents with a large amount of pages. This is the programme used in the layout and design of most newspapers, books, magazines and digital publications. It isn’t a versatile programme like Illustrator, since it is focused on the publishing world.
- Photoshop. The digital world’s most popular software is a programme which is widely used and abused. The course will focus on retouching and optimising bitmap images for publications and participants will be initiated into digital collage.
